CLCF Baseball is a city-wide youth baseball league in Cranston, Rhode Island for boys and girls ages 4-16. CLCF offers in-house play from April-June, as well as summer tournament teams that have had great success in Cal Ripken state tournaments, regional tournaments, and the Cal Ripken World Series. Our Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth boundary accepts players from Johnston and Scituate as well.
CLCF Baseball was the first league to offer 50’70’ baseball in the State of Rhode Island, which offers play on a modified field. This division is meant to bridge the gap between the 60′ field and the 90′ field.
Registration & Tryouts:
Registrations are held December through March
Tryouts “Evals” take place at the end of March or early April for AA, AAA, and Majors. Tryouts for Babe Ruth will be held in late April or early May (Everyone makes a team)
Age Groups:
(Based on Apr 30 birthdays)
Majors: 10 – 12 years
AAA: 8 – 10 years
AA: 6 – 8 years
Instructional: 4 – 6 years
Babe Ruth: 13 – 16 years
