Grades 2-12
CLCF track is a running program that is appealing to all runners from ages 5-14. There are three programs to choose from: Rec Team,Racing Team, and Racing Team for high school and middle school runners. There are three season, cross country (fall), indoor track (winter) and outdoor track (spring/summer).
The cross country season takes place in the fall of each year. The CLCF season begins the last week of August.
There are two programs-a rec league practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-6 pm. Practices take place at the John Chafee Athletic Complex at 450 Hope Road Cranston.
The racing team practices 5-6:15 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Practices take place at the John Chafee Athletic Complex at 450 Hope Road Cranston and on Saturday mornings from 8:30-10:00 at the Temple to Music at Roger Williams Park.
The cross country program will have 1-2 developmental meets. CLCF will compete in organized races that both racing and rec runners can compete in. There are plenty of novice races where runners of various experience and ability can have success. There is a XC relay race for rec or racing to join, called an Ekiden Race in October. The racing team competes in meets in New England and we host meets too.
Anyone from the age of 7 to 14 who wants to challenge themselves and be a part of a fun team. Our coaches train our runners to make the most of their abilities. They understand that not everyone develops the same way and will modify group workouts as needed.
The cost for the rec league team is $85 for the season.
The cost for the racing team is $99.
Uniforms are an additional $80 each.

Days and locations will be determined depending on availability of meet courses.

Times:Rec-Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5-6PM Racing Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 5-6PM Saturday 8:30-10AM.
